You can find Magnolia Restaurant & Café opposite Casterbridge Hollow Hotel in White River. The restaurant offers modern cuisine in a sophisticated setting rich in rural French charm. On sunny summer days, breakfasts and lunches can be enjoyed al fresco. For more formal dinners and events, the upstairs restaurant offers a stylish and inviting space overlooking country-styled gardens. The multi-dimensional space allows for various options, from intimate dinners to casual family affairs or corporate gatherings. 

When it comes to fresh, original food, Chef Jamie Watt does not disappoint. Magnolia’s menu offers innovative twists on classic dishes and new creations that reflect international food trends. Our menu features healthy and hot breakfast options, tapas and cocktails, sushi, an a la carte dinner menu and a wine list with an array of local and international wines.

On the menu for lunch at Magnolia Café are delicious salads, toasted sandwiches, wraps, pizzas and gourmet burgers. The Magnolia Burger is a particular favourite topped with bacon, avo, emmenthal cheese and mushroom sauce. Our salmon, tuna and Buddha Poke Bowls offer something fresh and different, while some of Chef Jamie Watt’s favourite dishes include prawn linguini and 3 hour slow roast Lamb Shank. The café also offers a selection of sweets, treats and gourmet milkshakes.

Dinner at Magnolia

The a la carte menu at Magnolia features a selection of starters, soups, antipasto, salads, seafood, steaks, pizzas and desserts. To start with, try the Tom-Yum Tempura Prawns, Pork Belly Poppers or Ostrich Carpaccio. If you’re in the mood for something warm in cooler weather, the Tuscan Roast Tomato Soup with garlic and basil pesto crostini will stir your appetite. From the grill, our fillet, rump and ribs are served with your choice of fries, basil pesto mash, jasmine rice or veg. We also have a few game options on the menu; a Kudu Fillet with sweet potato and thyme mash or a Springbok Shank. Finish off with a delicious dessert or local Sabie Valley coffee.
