An unforgettable Mother’s Day Concert with Matthew Mole and Sappi
This year’s 2019 Mother’s Day Concert will be held at the Lowveld National Botanical Garden on Sunday 12 May. The day is a celebration of food and great music in the stunning setting of the sprawling gardens. Folk artist, Matthew Mole is the headline act and other performers include Stella and Just 6. The concert (sponsored by Jacaranda FM) starts at 12 noon and the gates open at 10:00. Keep reading for more info.

Just 6
Stella and Just 6 will be performing the opening acts of the Sappi concert.
Just 6 is a six-part contemporary male ensemble who have managed to find full command of their craft, identity, and music with what they call AFRO-CAL-PLAY (Afro Vocal Play). Find out more about Just 6 at www.just6.co.za
Stella

Programme of events:
Apart from the wonderful music line-up on the day, there will be guided garden walks, musical performances from 10:00 and a full programme of fun for the little ones at the kiddies’ entertainment area. Visit the gourmet food stalls, relax with family and friends and enjoy the day.

Mother’s Day Gourmet Food Market
Apart from the stunning setting and music, a Gourmet Food market will be selling artisan food and drinks to ensure the entire family has a delicious choice of items to nibble on whilst enjoying the show. Look out for the Magnolia Cafe stand, offering innovative twists on familiar favourites and new creations that reflect international trends, the meals tantalise the taste buds and provide an out of the ordinary experience. Influenced by local and European flavours, the food is prepared using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal produce.
What’s on the menu? Plain Croissants, Cheese Burgers, BBQ Burgers, Bacon & Avo Burgers, Smoked Chicken, bacon & avo pizza, Mince & jalapeno pizza, Pesto, feta & rocket pizza, Hawaiian pizza, Margarita pizza, and Toasties.


Tickets will be on sale from Computicket. Entry is free for pre-schoolers, while primary school learners and pensioners pay R45. All other tickets cost R85.
The day’s proceeds will be donated to the Lowveld National Botanical Garden for conservation development projects.
Visitors to the concert will also be able to have a professional family portrait taken on the day – for free – at the Sappi photo booth. Apart from the main concert, there will also be three small stages with live music. The programme is jam-packed and there will be guided garden walks and a full programme of fun has been organised for the little ones at the kiddies’ entertainment area.
Major stakeholders include the South African National Biodiversity Institute, the Lowveld National Botanical Garden, Jacaranda FM, Vodacom, Jaguar, J&M Security, Lowveld Link, Mopani Pharmacy, Avis and Buhle Betfu Carriers.
